Where are those eggs? Easter 2009

April 10th and 11th

When Miss Tallulah found out the Easter Bunny was going to be visiting Nana and Papa's house for Easter, she decided that we needed to go there too. So we loaded up Saturday morning and arrived in time to help Madison color eggs. It was just the beginning of the excitement.

There is nothing quite like dying eggs with your favorite cousin.

Is it done?

Madsion supervises the egg removal procedure. By the end of the three dozen - Tally was a pro!!

Seamus even got in on the action. However, we soon learned that he was much more interested in destroying the eggs, instead of coloring them. So we took the eggs away from him.

He still managed to entertain himself with splashing dye everywhere.

The next morning Tally was very happy that the Easter Bunny had brought her...

JELLY BEANS!!!!!!
Breakfast of champions - just ask Daddy.

Seamus wasn't quite sure what to think. Alas, he still has no idea what jelly beans are or what makes them so wonderful. Maybe next year...

He was ready to join the mighty egg hunters though. Here, he is following the master hunter. Dad is the expert on all things concerning the hunt.

Tally jumped the gun on the Easter Egg hunting. She was hunting for a full five minutes before the official start of the hunt.
That's our girl: rule breaker extraordinaire.

Still on the hunt

Seamus is looking....

still looking...

Mom shows him the more fertile egg hunting grounds.

By this time, the excitement of the hunt had worn off for Tally. She was done. All she needed now to be happy was some time on a bike. She found one.

Seamus called it quits soon afterward. I don't think he much cared for this part of Easter. Later; however, he was totally in to eating lots of ham, potatoes, and asparagus.

On the way home from Casper, we stopped at the tannery to pick up the buffalo robe which was finally done. Here, Shad has reunited the head with the hide for some reason that only he knows. (The head is now residing on the kitchen table where it has been for over a month, except for the five minutes it took to take these three pictures.)

Seamus seems to understand his father's need for the head and the hide to reunite.

What a sweet bugger, even if he is posed next to a cow buff skull.
