A Day at the Beach: Wyo Style
Louis Lake Beach, Shoshone NF August 2nd, 2009

After lazing around all morning, Dad decided that we should head for the high country since it was going to be a billion degrees outside in Lander that afternoon. So we loaded up the Jeep and made our way to the granite sand of Louis Lake beach. What a great way to cool off on such a hot day!

Tally and Seamus were fascinated by the "driftwood."

Seamus was braver than his sister and agreed to go for a swim with his tattooed Dad.

Then he rested on the sand for a bit

before joining sis in her stick hunting exploits.

Here, Seamus checks out the surf while Tally runs away from it.

"Hey Mom, come catch a wave with me."

"Hey Mom, guard my sticks for me."

"Dad, the water is looking good...."

Time for a Cliff Bar break.
Dad sucks in the yummy snacks department.

"Yikes, I just saw Nessie!"

or maybe not.

Seamus looks for ships on the horizon.

Then he and Tallulah stroll on the beach.

What a great way to spend the day. Thanks Dad.
