Tally rolls the dough.

Seamus rolls it.

Fun stuff!

Our Krampus pose!

Decorating (Tally's are the ones with a hundred candies). Seamus was more concerned about actually making faces etc.

2011 Winter Solstice Ride

Mandy, Tally and Seamus (asleep in the Chariot).

For the third year in a row our bike club has done a winter solstice ride. This year the turn out was low. Might have had a little something to do with the white-out/ blizzard conditions... and the foot of fresh snow on the ground... maybe?? Anyhoo... it wasn't enough to stop our crew. We gave it a good go!

Tally had a blast, only got bucked off her reindeer a couple of times.

The green monster provided the horse power!

Watch the video "The drive home" towards the end to see why they look like this.

Seamus specks out the hunting orders whiled headed up to grandpa's to hunt deer.

Sacked out with mini and Woody- dreamin' of deer.

Finally got one... much later.

Tally and Seamus giggle at how small it is.

Summer 2011

Not everyone has a daddy who wears a superhero costume. Here Shad is beginning the bike portion of his first ever triathlon.

At the finish of the Lander Sprint Triathlon, 8-20-2011. He survived the swim, rocked the bike, and endured the run.

Here he is finishing the bike portion right at 30 minutes!

So, our summer was super crammed with lots of adventures. Last week we found ourselves in Leadville with some time on our hands before Shad's epic finish in the Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race Across the Sky. We decided to take train ride.

In front of the "choo Choo."
Seamus thought this was super cool.

The water tower.

So even though he was super excited, he still crashed on the way up the mountain. I guess everything Leadville is just too exciting.

RACE DAY!!

While we patiently waited for dad to return to Twin Lakes from the top of Columbine, Aunt Hope took the monkeys for a walk down to the lake, where they proceded to dismantle this pile of wood.

Hard at it...

Throwing sticks for random dogs...

Seamus's philosophy: The bigger the stick the better

Seamus watching the pooches swim for a stick.

Earlier this summer, Nana and Papa took the kiddos camping. Here is a picture (for some reason it is not with the rest of the the camping pics) riding his bike. He did a lot of that this summer. The Strider is almost dead from overuse.

mountain biking!

oOops!

Here was Seamus' first attempt to poop in the backyard. Fortunately, Sad caught him with his pants down (and then apparently ran into the house to get the camera). Seamus did eventually accomplish pooping in the backyard.(twice) While not pooping his pants is a good thing, I REALLY wish he would see the toilet as a viable option for pooping.

Camping at Worthern Meadows with Nana and Papa

While Shad and I were at first excited at the prospect of being childless for a few days, we soon found ourselves very bored. So we loaded up the canoe and drove up the switchbacks. Here the monkeys prepare for a voyage in the canNuNu.

Back at home....

Tally decides that pigtails are not the look for her.

Leadville Again!!!
We also went to Leadville in the middle of July for the Silver Rush Mountain Bike Race. One of our adventures was a drive up to Independence Pass.

Sitting on a rock.

Seamus is spying ski lines.

Lovely "watermelon" snow.

Our mountain girl...

Earlier this summer, Miss Tallulah tried to climb a tree and it did not end well for her. Fortunately, her dad was able to capture the moment on camera

SEAMUS plays soccer.

(sort of)

When do I get my snack and my soccer juice (gatorade)?

Here he is with his "team."
