Easter 2010

We headed to Casper on April 2nd because we know the Easter Bunny likes to hang out around Nana and Papa's house. (We see his friends all the time when we go visit them in Red Butte Village.) We were super excited this year because we would be staying at Aunt Chris' new house. There is much more room to run there. Also, it was a pretty darn good place to dye some eggs. Of course, the first thing Seamus did was try to drink the dye. So he had a blue mouth for the rest of the evening.

Tally was so super careful when it came to dying her eggs. Now, if she would only be just as careful in all other aspects of her life. Here, you can see the the lovely ouchies she got when she had a collision with a display table at the grocery store. (Since then, the glue has peeled off. She is going to have some little scars to help us remember this time forever.)

Master Dyer and Apprentice

Before we snuggled down to bed we made sure to leave some carrots out for the Easter Bunny, in hopes that he could make his way from Red Butte to Aunt Chris' and leave us some chocolate.

After eating lots of jelly beans and a yummy breakfast, we headed out to Nana and Papa's house to go hunt eggs. That old park has seen a lot of Easter Egg hunts over the years. Mommy and Aunt Chris used to hunt eggs there when they were little kids. That was a long, long time ago! Madison pulled her cousins up to the park with her old red wagon.

The hunt is on!

Score!

Looks like it! Being the rookie, he was not quite sure what to do when they first started the hunt. By the time he figured it out, the professionals had pretty much cleared the area of all things Easter egg. Even so, he managed a few finds. The big kids did make sure that he had a full basket by the end of the hunt.

Tally and Maddy cheese it up after dinner.
It was a good day for chocolate bunnies.
