Thanksgiving 2015
Going on a rabbit hunting the morning of Thanksgiving.
We got a good storm Wednesday before Thanksgiving. With more snow and weather in the forecast we decided to stay close to home. We loaded up the Ford, some skis and a turkey and headed up to the cabin.
It's not often that conditions are prime for a Thanksgiving morning ski.
We were loaded for rabbit too- just in case.
"Cheese!... Gobble, gobble!"
Tally loves the skis!
After some skiing, we sat down to Thanksgiving feast in the sky!
The "Hanging of the Horns" ceremony was full-on this year!
"Mmmm... yummy... cheese cake!"
Tally "pumpkin face" Hamilton.
After pie, we decorated and lit up our one lone pine tree for the holidays.
Didn't ever get much above zero the whole time we were up there.
Nice and cozy inside though!
Mom settles down for some hibernation.
Purch enjoys the fire.
Coyotes howl as the tree shines bright, under a full moon.
The next morning Tally and I headed out for some more rabbit hunting and skiing.
Winter wonderland conditions.
Tally up above our place, getting ready to shred a big hill.
Almost home!
Heaven on earth!
Had to chain up the Ford all around to get out.
